Academic Planning Process

2025/2026 School Year

The academic planning process includes several steps which are outlined below. These steps are part of a comprehensive process that gives students the knowledge and skills necessary to develop a 4 year plan of courses that meet graduation and college entrance requirements, and meet college and career goals. 


Step 1A: Please review the academic planning presentation 
Step 1b: view the current RHS COURSE CATALOG to see what course may be offered for the 25/26 school year 

Step 2: your grade specific academic planning worksheet will be give to you by your 2nd period teacher on january 17th. if you need an extra copy, please click on the links below that corresponds to your current grade level 

9th Freshman10th sophomores11th Juniors


step 3 (DUE by jan 27th at 11:59 PM): Course input in Aeries (Input the courses you want to take next school year into your aeries student portal) 
after you sign in Aeries, click on 'Classes' and then 'course requests entry'. for step by step instructions, please see slides 19-25 on the academic planning presentation

step 4 (due by jan 27th at 11:59 PM): Input your 4 year academic plan to californiacolleges.edu

Step 5 (Due by jan 28th, 2025): turn in your completed academic plan to your 2nd period teacher 

step 6: meet with your school counselor to review your transcript and course selections during the months of february and march. these meeting will occur in youe 2nd period classes and will be scheduled with your teacher. there is no need to make an appointment with your counselor. 

step 6: if your are requesting Teacher aide, office aide, or off campus for the 2025-2026 school year, please comeplete the form below
