Advanced Culinary: Tiger Cafe
Roseville High School's 3rd level Tiger Cafe program gives students the opportunity to venture into the world of culinary arts, allowing them to express their love and passion for food and cooking. Students will be cooking 3-4 times a week in our brand new kitchen producing quality pieces of work, both savory and sweet. Students will expand their abilities in the kitchen, learning new techniques and perfecting the methods that they already know as well as learning how to run the management portion of a restaurant. Students will have the chance to cater for on and off-campus events including monthly staff meetings and the yearly Health Fair Pancake Breakfast to the annual Crab Feed put on by the RHS Booster Club to support the athletics department for our school. Students will take several trips to differing restaurants and culinary institutes where they will have a chance to meet and talk with chefs, workers, and managers of restaurants like the Cheesecake Factory and Buffalo Wild Wings and instructors of culinary programs like the Oak Cafe program offered at American River College. The hosts will provide insight and advice for those interested in choosing the culinary world as a profession or career wheter if they're interested in becoming an executive chef or a manager of a popular restaurant. The RHS Advanced Culinary program is a fantastic and fun gateway into the culinary industry and provides vast opportunities for students' furture!
